What is Wagyu?
Wagyu a specific breed of cattle and is well-known for it's exceptional flavor and tenderness. Wagyu's flavor comes from its fat marbling which has a high nutrition value. It's marbled texture and healthy fat content make Wagyu beef more tender and flavorful than any other type of beef!

Wagyu's flavor comes from its fat marbling. The Wagyu breed stores higher levels of intra-muscular fat and less sub-cutaneous saturated fat as compared to other beef.
The fat marbling has a higher percentage of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats and has been compared in similar composition to wild salmon and olive oil. Research shows that MUFAs reduce bad LDL-cholesterol and promote good HDL-cholesterol. The low melting point of these MUFAs also contributes to wagyu's great flavor.
In addition to the inherent qualities of Wagyu itself, we believe healthy animals produce the healthiest meat.
